Esports and gaming streaming platform Rooter has announced a partnership with Indian esports organisation GodLike Esports.

The partnership will see Rooter receive exclusive streaming rights to GodLike Esports’ teams and content creators. Rooter will also sponsor GodLike’s esports teams. The details of the deal were not disclosed by the two parties.

The partnership’s scale was not disclosed by the two companies, however, Rooter shared via LinkedIn that more than 35 GodLike creators, esports athletes and influencers will stream exclusively on Rooter.

GodLike is one of the largest esports organisations in India. The organisation has rosters in Battlegrounds Mobile India, Call of Duty Mobile and VALORANT. Earlier this year the organisation finished 13th in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021: Grand Finals.

Speaking to The Economic Times in India, Rooter CEO Piyush Kumar said that the deal is one of the biggest deals the company has made. The partnership with GodLike is also part of Rooter’s plan to invest in the Indian esports industry.

Alongside GodLike, the platform recently partnered with tournament organiser Skyesports. Moreover, Rooter recently signed professional cricket player Riyan Parag as a content creator.

Esports Insider says: The Indian esports industry is growing very rapidly, and Rooter is one of the companies that is heavily investing into its growth. GodLike Esports is a known player in the regional mobile esports space, and having exclusive rights for all of its content is sure to draw more eyes towards Rooter.
